Jeremy's Mission!

Time has gone by SO fast... Jeremy will be home from the South London England Mission in less than a month! He's been doing fabulous :)  Currently, the Mission President has him and his companion driving around from city to city wherever the spirit directs them.  They're finding converts and helping other missionaries.  It's great he get's to have this experience his last few weeks.  Here are some pictures of his adventures over the past 2 years of being a missionary :)

Love you lot's Elder Olsen! Excited to see you soon :)

Eric's Ultimate Frisbee Injury

Last month, Eric was playing frisbee and took a knee to the stomach pretty hard....  He was having some pretty strange symptoms that worried us so we took him to the E.R.

Here he is being a good sport ;)

About 4 doctors and 5 hours later, they figured out he had
a lacerated kidney...

Fortunately, kidneys have a way of healing themselves!  So they told us he'd be fine if he just took it easy. Hooray for no surgery's or sleepovers in the hospital :) And yes, it has healed just fine. Thanks for asking!

Happy 26th Birthday Eric!

We had a fun day on Eric's Birthday.  I decorated the apartment and made him some yummy banana pancakes for breakfast.  No, we didn't listen to the Jack Johnson song while we ate them, but we should have!! Here's some pics of the decorations I put up:

A little later on, we went Geo caching!! For those of you who haven't been, I highly recommend it. We had lot's of fun :)

This was by far the BEST Geo cache we'll ever find. We made sure to leave it there for someone else!

Later on, we went to the Cheese Cake Factory for dinner.  I think it has become a tradition to go there on our birthdays.  I didn't get a picture, but I did get a picture of his bday cake from that evening :)

Creme De Menthe cake... SO good...

Happy Birthday Eric! I love you lot's :)

First Christmas ~

Merry Christmas!  I realize I should have posted this earlier, but better late than never! :)  We had a wonderful holiday this winter.  Here are the details of the Newlyweds' first Christmas......

Our Tree

We made Ginger Bread Houses!

Brandon & Celeste's :)

Kim's (Eric's Mom) Isn't this incredible?!

Mine & Eric's!
We went with a 'Christmas in the Caribbean' theme...

The Hot Chocolate S'more set from my Secret Santa :)
I love hot chocolate AND S'mores so I was excited about this!

Christmas Eve

Our pretty Tree on Christmas Eve!
Can you see the end of our bed? Eric and I have a habit of dragging our mattress into the living room when it's a long weekend or holiday. I highly recommend it.
It feels like you're on vacation in your own home :)

Christmas Day

Stuffed Stockings! Yes, I made these :) It was my first major sewing project. With the help of my talented Mother-in-law,
they turned out great!

Here are a few gifts Eric and I got for each other :)

I got my Crock Pot! :)

Eric got a remote control helicopter. He loves it!

Warm up Pants

Eric got me a hat & gloves for running in the cold.
Now I have no excuse not to go :)

New Shirt :)

Later that day....

Matchy Matchy!
The boys got matching jackets (in different colors) from Dave & Kim. Paul got one too but he isn't in the picture...

Merry Christmas!!
